Spatial plan of the Republic of Macedona

The Spatial plan of the Republic of Macedonia represents an administrative document, integral development project by its character, that helps to define the spatial organization of the state, the aims and the conceptions of the spatial development of some regions as well as the conditions for their realization. The principal strategic goal of the Spatial Plan of the Republic of Macedonia is achievement of a higher level of the overall functional integrity in the territory of the State as well to provide conditions for significantly greater integration with the neighboring and other European countries. Between the elements for definition of the space-functional structure and the position of the Republic of Macedonia the direct connections of the Republic of Macedonia with the neighboring countries are included. The Spatial Plan has long-term character or in other words with time horizon till 2020. However it is based on the principle of flexibility and adjustment of the development processes and structural changes.
